Hello, I'm Palina

A professionally trained violinist with a music degree and three years of teaching experience.

Photo to come: Palina with her violin

I studied violin at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where I earned a bachelor's degree in music performance. This is equal to a UK music degree, and well above Grade 8, the top level of the UK grade exams. Alongside the violin, I am also classically trained in piano.

I have three years of teaching experience, working with students of many different ages and abilities. I teach children from complete beginners up to around age 16, and I can take students through ABRSM or Trinity grade exams from Grade 1 to Grade 8, as well as help with GCSE Music performance pieces.

Whether a child has never held an instrument or is working towards their next exam, every lesson is shaped around them.

How I teach

Lessons should be fun

Children learn best when they look forward to the next lesson. Games, songs and music they know all have a place.

Small steps, real progress

Good habits from the start make everything easier later. We take things one step at a time, and celebrate each one.

Parents as partners

You know your child best. I keep you in the loop on what we are working on and how you can help at home.

Book a first lesson

Tell me your child's age and whether they have played before. I will get back to you to find a time.
